About The Lexus LX
The LX is the flagship of the Lexus SUV fleet. Large, powerful, and extremely well equipped, the LX is many of the things that you would expect from a luxury SUV flagship. But it’s much more than that as well, offering things like serious off-road ability or an exceptionally high towing capacity, that you just don’t usually expect from a vehicle that comes with such a high level of luxury. And it is an exceptionally high level of luxury, with refined materials throughout, as well as a design that both has presence and is, at the same time, sophisticated. Adding to the luxury is the incredibly advanced technology in the LX, which makes possible things like the incredible premium stereo available in the LX, or the thematic ambient illumination. It also makes the LX much safer, with the Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 suite of highly advanced safety technologies.
What the Critics Say
"While slogging through mud and testing axle articulation and locker engagement, I was also being tended to by a “climate concierge” that managed the heating and cooling of my various body parts. The thick, extremely comfortable front buckets massaged me gently while I bathed in 2,400 watts of reference audio Synthwave. All doors soft close and there is no surface you can see or touch that doesn’t feel premium." — The Drive
"The 2025 Lexus LX is elegant, opulent and impeccably built. It's a three-row SUV showcase for Lexus quality and performance, with powerful acceleration, ample towing power and muscular off-road capability." — Edmunds
Lexus LX Features
Capable Performance
Unlike most of its competitors, the LX is built to be as tough as it is luxurious, with body-on-frame construction and available skid plates. The 3.4-liter twin-turbo V6 produces ample power, 409 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque, for refined and effortless driving on the road or off. The LX comes with genuine full-time four-wheel drive, not all-wheel drive, with locking differentials. Multi-Terrain Select and Active Height Control let you instantly transform the LX from a soft highway cruiser into a formidable off-roader. It even comes with Crawl Control with Turn Assist as standard equipment. Available features like skid plates and all-terrain tires can give you even more off-road prowess. But the towing package is standard, and it gives the LX an incredible 8,000-pound towing capacity.
Luxury Interior
There are a lot of off-road-ready vehicles out there that you can buy, but the reason why people choose the LX is that it also comes with a significant helping of luxury. The interior has a sophisticated design that uses high-quality materials, including genuine leather upholstery and open-pore wood. The first and second rows of seats are heated, and the front seats are also ventilated as standard, with ventilation for the second row available. A Lexus 10-speaker Premium Sound System comes standard, but there is an available Mark Levinson® 25-speaker, 2,400-watt Reference Surround Sound system that is incredible enough to satisfy even the pickiest of audiophiles. There’s even a standard cool box, to keep your drinks at an optimal temperature.
Advanced Technology
The LX gets a big boost in functionality from the cutting-edge technology that comes with it. Much of this is controlled via the 12.3-inch Lexus Interface touchscreen. This incorporates things like the Panoramic View Monitor or the Multi-Terrain Monitor, which helps you see what’s under the vehicle while traveling off-road. Intuitive Parking Assist with Auto Braking helps you maneuver the LX into parking spots without incident. But it’s the Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 suite of safety technologies where we see the most advanced driver’s aids. This includes a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Lane Tracing Assist, Proactive Driving Assist, and more, all as standard equipment.
