About the Lexus LX Hybrid
The LX was already an incredible and unique vehicle, but the LX Hybrid gives you more of everything that makes it great. The drivetrain is more powerful than the conventional one offered in the non-hybrid LX, and the Hybrid trim lineup adds unique trims like the off-road-focused Overtrail and the range-topping Ultra Luxury. The LX is built to be able to handle both a night out on the town and a day of off-road adventure with the same ease. Tough, body-on-frame construction and an interior finished in high-quality materials make this duality possible. Advanced technology makes every aspect of the LX Hybrid better, including things like safety, where the Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 suite of driver assistance technologies gives you extra peace of mind on and off the road.
What the Critics Say
"While slogging through mud and testing axle articulation and locker engagement, I was also being tended to by a “climate concierge” that managed the heating and cooling of my various body parts. The thick, extremely comfortable front buckets massaged me gently while I bathed in 2,400 watts of reference audio Synthwave. All doors soft close and there is no surface you can see or touch that doesn’t feel premium." — The Drive
"The 2025 Lexus LX is elegant, opulent and impeccably built. It's a three-row SUV showcase for Lexus quality and performance, with powerful acceleration, ample towing power and muscular off-road capability." — Edmunds
Lexus LX Features
Capable Performance
Under the hood of the LX Hybrid, you’ll find the same 3.4-liter twin-turbo V6 that powers the conventional LX, mated to the same 10-speed automatic transmission. But the hybrid system takes the drivetrain to another level. While it will give you a couple more MPG in the city, the main purpose of the system is to add power, and it certainly does this, with 48 more horsepower and 104 lb-ft more torque than the conventional model, for a total of 457 horsepower and 583 lb-ft of torque. This extra power shaves an impressive half-second off the LX Hybrid’s 0-60 time, and gives the LX a low-end torque boost for climbing over rocks or easily handling steep inclines. A locking center differential is standard, and the Overtrail turns up the off-road capability with locking front and rear differentials, as well as a front skid plate and a set of all-terrain tires. Every trim boasts the same impressive 8,000-pound towing capacity.
Luxury Interior
The interior is where the LX Hybrid sets itself apart from other off-road vehicles. Leather upholstery, open-pore wood trim, and a highly advanced climate control system that extends to the seats all come together to make a welcoming environment. Unlike the conventional LX, there is an Ultra Luxury trim for the LX Hybrid, which deletes the third row of seats in favor of more spacious reclining heated and ventilated massage seats for the second row, along with a center armrest and table. Whether you opt for this trim or not, there are a lot of excellent luxury features, like ambient lighting, a cool box for keeping your drinks the right temperature, and even Remote Park is standard. The LX Hybrid comes with a 10-speaker stereo, but an audiophile-grade Mark Levinson® 25-speaker, 2,400-watt Reference Surround Sound system is available for the music lover in the family.
Advanced Technology
We’ve already seen how the advanced drivetrain technology of the LX Hybrid gives it a serious advantage, but that’s far from the only area where that’s true. Most tech features are controlled by the 12.3-inch Lexus Interface touchscreen, although a 12.3-inch customizable digital gauge cluster and standard head-up display show additional information. The Panoramic View Monitor gives you the best view for parking, and the Multi-Terrain Monitor gives you an under-body view, a huge help when traversing terrain with a lot of obstacles. On top of all of this, the LX Hybrid comes with the latest in driver aid technology, in the form of Lexus Safety System+ 3.0. This suite of technology features includes Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Lane Tracing Assist, Proactive Driving Assist, and more, with all of these features coming standard.
